From stairwell to site staircase

Structural stairs: a solid base we build on

A structural staircase is usually installed during the shell phase. It can be used safely as a site staircase straight away and later forms the perfect base for wood, carpet, mortex, natural stone or another material.

  • Budget-friendly
  • Safe during construction
  • One point of contact from shell to finish

From stairwell to site staircase

  • Budget-friendly and usually installed during the shell phase.
  • Safe: meets the safety standards during the building process.
  • The base for the final stair cladding.
  • One point of contact from shell to finish.

No more ladders or temporary constructions during the works: as soon as the structural staircase is in place, tradespeople reach the upper floor safely. And when it is time for the finish, the base is already perfectly prepared.

From rough concrete staircase to finished cladding

Do you already have a roughly cast concrete staircase? We can level that out precisely too, with perfectly equal rises and goings and an ergonomic distribution of the winders. The finishing layer is then applied directly and over the full surface, which improves the acoustics. Because the finish no longer needs filling or levelling, installation goes smoothly.

Finished by us or by third parties

Your staircase finished in wood, carpet, mortex, natural stone or other materials? Then a structural staircase from Plus One Stairs is the base. We can take care of the finish ourselves, for instance with our wooden stair cladding, but your tiler or carpet fitter can also carry on from there.

Questions

Questions about structural stairs

Can't find your question? Feel free to call or email us.

What is a structural staircase?
A structural staircase is the load-bearing base of your stairs, usually installed during the shell phase. During the works it serves as a site staircase that meets the safety standards; later it is finished with wood, carpet, mortex, natural stone or another material.
What is the difference with a concrete staircase?
A roughly cast concrete staircase often still has to be levelled out before it can be finished. A structural staircase has perfectly equal rises and goings from the start and an ergonomic distribution of the winders, so the finish can be installed straight away, without filling or levelling.
Does Plus One Stairs have to do the finish as well?
It may, but it does not have to. The finish can be done by Plus One Stairs, or by third parties such as your tiler or carpet fitter.
When should I order a structural staircase?
Ideally while the shell phase is being planned, so the staircase can be installed as soon as the stairwell is ready. Send us the plans and we will work out the staircase.
