What data we collect and why
Quote request through the website
When you fill in the enquiry form we receive your name, email address, town or postcode, phone number, your message, your answers to the questions about your staircase and the photos or plans you attach. We use that data to answer your enquiry, arrange an appointment and prepare a quote. This is necessary to enter into a contract at your request.
Email and phone
If you email or call us, we keep your contact details and the content of the conversation as far as needed to help you further.
Customers
If you become a customer, we also process the data needed for measuring, carrying out the work and invoicing, such as the site address and your invoicing details. We do this to perform the contract and to meet our legal obligations.
Website visits
Our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address to serve the website safely and quickly. Only with your consent do we use Google Analytics for visitor statistics and the Meta pixel to measure our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Without your consent they are not loaded. You can read more on our cookie page.
How long we keep your data
- Quote requests that do not lead to an order: 2 years after your last contact with us.
- Customer data: for as long as the statutory retention period for accounting records runs.
- Your cookie choice: 6 months.
- Visitor statistics in Google Analytics: 14 months at most.
Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and our services:
- Resend, for sending the enquiry form messages to our mailbox (servers in the European Union).
- Cloudflare, for hosting and securing the website.
- Microsoft 365, for our email.
- Google (Google Analytics) and Meta (Meta pixel), only after your consent. They may process data in the United States and are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Subcontractors or suppliers, where needed to carry out your project.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, have processing restricted, transfer your data and object to processing. Consent you have given can be withdrawn at any time. Email info@plusonestairs.be for this. We reply within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
Security
The website runs over a secure connection (https). Enquiry form messages go straight to our mailbox and are not stored on the website.
Changes
We update this policy when needed. The date at the top shows the latest version.
